A series of 7 combs made of 7 different materials: plastic, foam, wax, cement, hair, sand, ice.
Comb Over presents a series of enquiries into the human relationship between tools, adaptation, and discomfort:
What is your relationship to the objects you use everyday? Our surroundings and our routines often dictate our sense of security and comfort. However, in a rapidly advancing technological landscape, where the pressure to adapt becomes more and more intense, how does that impact our own sense of comfort and familiarity? Would our reactions to these changes be different if they invaded our physical space? If one day your comb turned to sand, or ice, or hair, how would this affect your need to adapt? Why must we perform for design?
