SHELLAC (2025)
This photographic series collects the insignificant. The subjects have been In this new context, they are pedestaled as the central figures of each page, paired and reassigned value and interpretation. Shellac speaks to an artificial attempt to preserve something that will inevitably deteriorate.  Digital images, like physical objects, are subject to time and change, despite our best efforts to freeze them in the present. The cycle of consuming, preserving, and ultimately forgetting is reflected in the nature of how we approach and store images today.
